Meet Mrs. Cardani!
I was born and raised in Flagstaff where my family had a small ranch. My grandparents operated a much larger ranch in Wikieup, Arizona. I graduated from Flagstaff High School and then Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Library Science.
I am currently working on a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading (K-8) emphasis. I taught for the Coconino Community College in Early Childhood Education for about 15 years and have taught Kindergarten and taught at Head Start for several years in different classrooms. I have also substituted in several different school districts for several years.
My husband John and I were married in 1981. We have two children (Rebecca and Michael) and three grandchildren (Remy, Vincent and Aria). We raise registered Appaloosa Horses and enjoy training and showing them.
I was the State Equestrian Director for Special Olympics for several years and put on horse shows in Phoenix and Flagstaff for Special Olympics. I was also a 4-H leader in the horse program for 33 years, as well as being a member of the State 4-H Horse Show Committee for three years.
I am looking forward to this year in Winslow and the opportunity to work in a sixth grade classroom.
