Hello! My name is Lavinia L. Cody and I am the new School Counselor for grades K-8. I am honored and excited to be joining this amazing Bulldog family! I can certainly relate to the saying, "Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog." I say this because I am a Bulldog alumnus c/o 1997. I am glad to be serving my hometown community where everyone is so caring. I have heard wonderful things about WUSD as well as the community.
As the School Counselor, I plan to provide support to teachers and staff to the best of my abilities. Support provided can be therapeutic, but my role as a certified school counselor is not to diagnose but to provide temporary/short-term support to help students overcome acute issues that they are having on their school performance. I am committed to encouraging, supporting, and empowering our students to become the best versions of themselves.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concern. I look forward to working with you all and getting to know your students throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you.
Mrs. Lavinia L. Cody, M.Ed.
