Winslow is rural town of approximately 10,800 residents and is located on the East-West route of Interstate 40 between Flagstaff and Holbrook. The community, at an elevation of 4,850, lies in the Little Colorado River Valley on the Western border of Navajo County. Winslow is also a border town/school for the Navajo and Hopi Reservation. 
 
Winslow has a diverse community which includes: transportation, tourism, manufacturing, trade and retail business. The largest employers are the BNSF Railroad, Arizona Department of Corrections, Indian Health Center, Winslow Unified School District and the Little Colorado Medical Center.
